Why is my phone not ringing when I call someone?

When I make a call, my phone doesn’t ring and connects silently or fails to alert the other side. My volume and network seem fine. What could be causing this issue, and how can I fix it?

This can happen due to Do Not Disturb mode, network issues, blocked numbers, or call-forwarding settings. Poor signal or software glitches may also cause it.

This normally occurs due to network delays or VoLTE options. The carrier could bridge the call followed by the production of the "ringback" tone. Switching Airplane Mode on and off, turning off VoLTE in settings or restarting your phone should refresh your connection.

Such a situation most of the time arises from weak network coverage, enabled call forwarding, DND mode activated, problems with SIM or carrier, and also the person you are calling may have turned off the phone or put it on silent mode. You can figure out what's wrong by looking at your network signal, turning off DND or call forwarding, rebooting your phone, and getting in touch with your carrier.
