How to make money on GTA 5 story mode?

I want to know the best legit ways how to make money on GTA 5 story mode without using mods or cheats. Any missions, investments, or tricks that actually work in 2025?

If you want the fastest legit cash in story mode, focus on heists + the stock market + buying properties. Do the big heists (setups matter pick the right crew/approach and you can net tens of millions across characters), then use the money to buy high-income properties for passive weekly payouts. For huge multipliers, save before starting Lester’s assassination missions and follow the stock tips (buy the competitor, hit the mission, then sell at the peak). Properties give steady income while you play other stuff.

ob a few stores, steal a supercar, sell a taxi fare, repeat honestly, store robberies and quick side-jobs keep your pockets from getting boring while you plan big scores. Don’t expect a billion from a 7-11 but they’re perfect for filling gaps between missions. Also: don’t blow all your heist cash on stupid cars until you’ve done the Lester stock stuff.

True, but if you’ve already finished the story or don’t want spoilers, the stock market still reacts to in-game events and news you can make solid gains by watching the in-game headlines and playing the market even without assassination exploits.

Do: save before major investments/heists, do buy properties that give good weekly returns, and do use Lester missions for stock swings.
Don’t: rely on “money cheat” promises (cheats either don’t give money or disable achievements and can break your playthrough), and don’t dump all cash into vanity purchases early. Save → invest → sell when market peaks

I did the Lester trick on my second playthrough: bought the recommended LCN/BAWSAQ stocks, finished the missions, sold at the spike each character ended up with millions (and it let me buy every property). After that I just collected weekly payouts and did side missions/collectibles to keep the bank healthy. If you want exact stock ticker names for each assassination (Hotel, Multi-Target, Vice, etc.), I can paste that list worked perfectly for me.
