How to unfreeze panes in Excel?

Hi everyone, I accidentally froze panes in Excel and now I’m unable to scroll properly. Can someone guide me on how to unfreeze panes step by step?

In Microsoft Excel, to unfreeze panes, select the View tab on the ribbon. Click on Freeze Panes, and then in the dropdown menu, choose Unfreeze Panes. This will eliminate any frozen rows or columns, and you will again be able to scroll freely over your worksheet.

To unfreeze panes in Microsoft Excel, open the View tab on the ribbon and click on the Freeze Panes button in the Window group. You will see a dropdown menu where you have to choose the Unfreeze Panes option. That will remove any frozen rows or columns, so the worksheet will scroll as usual. If you had frozen only the top row or the first column, the same Unfreeze Panes option would clear those settings, too. After unfreezing, you will be able to scroll around freely, and if you want, you can set a new freeze by picking Freeze Top Row, Freeze First Column, or Freeze Panes.

If your Excel sheet feels “stuck” with rows or columns, just go to the View tab, click on Freeze Panes, and then select Unfreeze Panes, which instantly brings everything back to normal. I’ve had this happen a few times when scrolling wouldn’t move the top rows, and this option fixes it right away.
