How to wash a mouse pad?

I’m not sure how to wash a mouse pad without damaging it. Should I hand wash it, or is it safe when learning how to wash a mouse pad in a machine? I’d appreciate advice on the safest way for how to wash a mouse pad properly.

To wash a mouse pad, first check the material. For most cloth mouse pads, use warm water and a small amount of mild soap, gently scrub with a soft brush or sponge, then rinse thoroughly. Pat it dry with a towel and let it air dry completely before using it again. Avoid using a dryer, as heat can damage the surface or backing.

I usually hand wash mine with a little mild soap and warm water, it’s the safest way and keeps the edges from fraying. If you do use a machine, go gentle cycle and air dry it, I ruined one once by tossing it in the dryer
