What causes thunder flies in monitor?

Recently, I noticed what looks like thunder flies in monitor whenever the screen refreshes. Has anyone experienced thunder flies in monitor, and is it related to hardware, GPU, or software issues? Could this damage the monitor or affect visual performance?

@techinmay, tbh, i'm not sure what thunder flies are, imo it sounds like a screen refresh issue, maybe related to gpu or hardware, worth checking the monitor settings

i've had similar issues, could be a loose connection or outdated gpu drivers, try updating them and see if it resolves the issue
