I went to start my computer this morning, but nothing happens when I press the power key. I’ve checked the charging indicator and tried a hard reset by holding the key down, yet the asus laptop on button seems completely unresponsive. Is this a common failure with the keyboard deck, or could it be a deeper motherboard power delivery issue?

If your ASUS laptop power button is not responding, it could be due to a drained battery, faulty button, or internal hardware issue. Try charging the laptop, performing a hard reset by holding the power button for 15–20 seconds, or checking the charger. If it persists, professional repair may be needed.

If your ASUS laptop power button isn’t responding, the battery might be completely drained or the charger could be faulty. Try plugging it in and waiting a few minutes before pressing the button again. A hard reset by holding the power button for several seconds may also help fix the issue.

A non-working power button on an ASUS laptop can be caused by hardware damage or internal connection problems. Dust or wear may affect the button. Try connecting the charger and performing a power reset. If nothing works, the button or motherboard may need professional inspection or repair.

Sometimes an ASUS laptop won’t turn on because of a system freeze or power issue. Disconnect all external devices, plug in the charger, and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds. This can reset the system and restore functionality if it’s not a serious hardware problem.

If the power button on your ASUS laptop is unresponsive, it could be due to internal faults or a dead battery. Try using a different charger, checking power connections, and performing a hard reset. If the issue continues, it’s best to get the device checked by a technician.
